Distributing to YouTube

Before You Start

Distribution to YouTube requires an active paid subscription. If you are on a free plan, clicking the YouTube badge will prompt you to upgrade.

You also need a YouTube/Google account with access to YouTube Studio.

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Navigate to your podcast page in the studio.
2. Click the YouTube badge in the row of distribution badges below your podcast header.
3. The Distribute on YouTube dialog opens with a centered title and description: "This one-time setup integrates your show with YouTube. New published episodes will automatically appear on your podcast."
4. Follow the numbered steps in the dialog:

Step 1

Go to YouTube Studio and sign into your YouTube account.

Step 2

Click on the "Create" button in the top-right corner and select "New Podcast."

Step 3

In the popup that appears, click "Submit RSS feed."

Step 4

When asked, copy and paste your RSS feed URL into the field. The dialog displays your RSS URL in a rounded input with a copy button.

Step 5

Follow YouTube's instructions to verify podcast ownership. Click "Send Code" and Jellypod will forward you a verification email.

Step 6

Go to your email inbox, copy the YouTube verification code, and paste it into the field.

After Submission

Approval may take a few hours. Once verified, every episode you publish on Jellypod will automatically appear on YouTube.

This is a one-time setup. You do not need to repeat it for future episodes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upload full video episodes to YouTube through the RSS feed?

No. RSS feeds on YouTube use your cover art as a still image. To upload full video episodes, use Jellypod's Magic Video feature to render the video and upload it to YouTube separately.

Do I need a YouTube channel to distribute my podcast?

Yes. You need a YouTube/Google account with access to YouTube Studio to submit your RSS feed and host your podcast on the platform.
